Become a BPG expert panel member

BPG get involved

Are you passionate about improving health care? Get involved with the development of RNAO’s world-renowned best practice guidelines (BPG) as a volunteer expert panel member or external reviewer. RNAO is seeking representation from nurses, members of the interprofessional team and people with lived experience.

Expert panel members

Expert panel members support RNAO’s BPG team by contributing valuable expertise to guideline development work over the course of approximately 18 months.

We are currently recruiting expert panel members for the following BPGs:

  • Strategies to Support Self-Management in Chronic Conditions: Collaboration with Clients
  • Intimate Partner Violence
  • Promoting Life and Prevention of Indigenous Youth Suicide (for more information about this BPG please contact bstade@RNAO.ca)
  • Developing and Sustaining Nursing Leadership
  • Promoting Safety: Alternative Approaches to Use of Restraints
  • Preventing and Addressing Abuse and Neglect of Older Adults
  • Enhancing Healthy Adolescent Development
  • Engaging Clients who Use Substances & Implementing Supervised Injection Services
  • End of Life Care During the Last Days and Hours & A Palliative Approach to Care in the Last 12 Months of Life

External reviewers

Prior to publication, RNAO seeks feedback on draft guidelines from external reviewers. The following BPGs will be ready for external review soon:
