Accessing your myRNAO.ca account & changing your password

 Below are instructions on how to access your myRNAO account.

  • go to myRNAO.ca
  • click Forgot Password?

  • enter the email address associated with your myRNAO.ca account and click E-mail new password
  • check your email for your new password.

  • Once you have accessed your account, it is advised that you reset your password to
  • something more personalized. Click the Change Password tab in the top row of the page

  • In the Current password field, enter the password that was emailed to you
  • Specify your new Password and Confirm password
  • Click Save

Joining/Renewing RNAO using myRNAO.ca

  •   Confirm your checkout details and click Continue to next step

  • If you have never been a member of the RNAO,

1) click I would like to create a new myRNAO account

2) unclick I am a current RNAO member

3) specify your username, email address, and password

4) click Create new account

If you have been or are currently a member of the RNAO, click I have a myRNAO account to renew your membership under your existing myRNAO.ca account.

  • Please refrain from creating a new account. If you were a member of the RNAO in the past, then an account exists for you under the email address you provided us.
  • If you have forgotten the email address associated with an existing account, please contact a member of the RNAO Membership & Services department at 416-599-1925.
  • If you have forgotten the password associated with the account, please click Request new password and follow the instructions emailed to you.

  •  Fill in your contact details and click Continue:

  • Select your Membership Package delivery preference
  • Click Join/Renew RNAO!

Membership receipts

Below are instructions on how to retrieve your RNAO membership receipts.

1) Once you are logged into your myRNAO.ca account, click on My account  under the Account Management section:

2) Scroll down to the Membership Receipts section. Here you can view and download your receipts for all of the years you were a member:

Membership categories

There are many RNAO membership categories. Most categories include professional liability protection (PLP) and services which meet the College of Nurses of Ontario’s mandatory requirement.

Please review our membership categories, and ensure you select the category that fits your membership needs.

Are RNAO fees tax deductible?

Every year, a number of members ask RNAO’s membership team: “Are RNAO fees tax deductible?”

The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) requires all of its members who are registered to practise to have professional liability protection (PLP). Because PLP is automatically included in your RNAO membership, it may be tax deductible.

RNAO recommends you consult a tax professional if you’re unsure about your personal circumstances.

Updating your credit card information

  

Below are instructions on how to update your credit card payment method.

  • click the Stored cards tab in the top row of the page

  • click Add a card to add a new credit card
  • If you already have a card on file and wish to change the expiration date, click edit on that card

Updating your personal information
  1.  Name, Address, Phone number
  2. Email address
  3.  ONA/CUPE number
  • Go to myRNAO.ca
  • Enter your login details
  • Click Log in
  • If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot password function to reset it

1) To change your name, address, or phone number:

  • click Edit in the Mailing Address box.

  • click the edit tab in the top row of the page

  • click Edit in the Membership Details box

RNAO membership cancellation policy

RNAO's membership year begins on Nov. 1 and ends on Oct. 31. As of Mar. 1 of a given membership year, refunds will not be provided for membership cancellations or membership modification requests. Current RNAO members will be unable to switch membership fee categories until the renewal process has begun for the following membership year.

If a member chooses to cancel their membership prior to Mar. 1 for a refund, a weighted deductible will be paid by the member based on the duration of membership to date, as well as a $30 cancellation fee. These fees will not be applied for members who are cancelling their membership with the intent to switch to a different membership fee category for the current membership year. This is not applicable to members who pay their membership via monthly payment options.

Membership addons such as LAP® and Interest Groups are non-refundable.

An associate from RNAO's Membership & Services department will email members to inform when we are unable to process payments scheduled to be made on a monthly basis. Members will be given the opportunity to make payment arrangements for missed and subsequent payments. Consecutive non-payment of monthly fees will result in termination of membership.

Continuous renewal

By selecting continuous renewal when you purchase your membership, you authorize RNAO to continuously collect funds for your membership.

With this authorization, your RNAO membership will continue indefinitely until you have made a request via email to membership@RNAO.ca.

Non-payment of fees will result in termination of your membership. For credit card payments, RNAO will store the last four digits of your credit card. Please advise RNAO of new credit card information.

We offer the following payment options at no extra cost:

Pre-authorized installments (includes continuous renewal)

  • Credit/debit card monthly payments
  • Montly withdrawal from your bank account

Lump sum credit card:

  • Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards
  • American Express credit card
