RNAO hosts International Advisory Council meeting
RNAO’s International Advisory Council (IAC) met at RNAO’s home office June 2-3 for its bi-annual meeting. The council discussed best practice guideline (BPG) development, implementation and evaluation for Best Practice Spotlight Organizations® (BPSO®) around the globe.
The IAC is comprised of experts in big data, quality improvement, performance measurement. The council provides strategic guidance and expert insights to ensure that RNAO’s Nursing Quality for Reporting and Evaluation® (NQuIRE®) data system remains aligned with evolving BPSO program needs. NQuIRE was launched in 2012 to help BPSOs monitor and measure the impact of BPGs. The council’s co-chairs are Dr. John Lavis, professor in the department of health evidence and impact at McMaster University and co-lead of RISE, and RNAO CEO Dr. Doris Grinspun.
