Joanna Lavoie is a Toronto-based bilingual, award-winning journalist with more than a decade of diverse experience. A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s (formerly Ryerson University) journalism program, she was a long-time breaking news/social justice reporter for toronto.com. As of May 2022, Joanna began a new role as a digital journalist with CP24's web team. Joanna also speaks occasionally about her work and industry with students, groups, and other media outlets, including most recently Newstalk 1010, Global News Radio 640 Toronto and Radio-Canada. A married mother of two young daughters, she is also a talented and passionate Latin dancer and a devoted bonne vivante.
