Season's greetings from RNAO

Season's greetings

As 2025 ends, so does RNAO’s 100th anniversary year. It was an exciting, inspirational, educational and tremendously memorable celebration. Nurses’ dedication has fueled our association for a century, and member engagement continues to strengthen our professional community. Your contribution as a trusted partner has also been invaluable.

As we enter the holiday season, we wish you rest, rejuvenation and treasured time with loved ones. We extend heartfelt appreciation to nurses and partners who are working throughout the holidays, ensuring patients, residents and communities continue to receive safe and compassionate care.

We recognize this season can be difficult for many. People continue to face uncertainty, inequality and hardship, and they often turn to others for support. Nurses and their partners in care consistently respond with compassion, evidence and solidarity, offering their expertise and a listening ear when it is needed most.

This time of year allows for reflection, not only on personal acts of kindness, but also on how we give as a collective. The spirit of generosity inspires us to work together for a society that nurtures everyone. A society where housing is safe and accessible, where social services protect the vulnerable, where a livable planet is safeguarded for future generations, where a strong public health system serves all, and where people unite against war, conflict, hate and division. In this broader sense, giving becomes a shared commitment to shaping a healthier, more peaceful and more compassionate world.

To our partners around the globe, we look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts as we enter our 101st year and beyond. May this season – a time for gratitude and renewed purpose – remind us of our common values and strengthen our resolve to advance the vital work we do together.
