RNAO marks National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls
Oct. 4 is the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. First Nations, Inuit and Métis women and girls, including those who are 2SLGBTQI+, continue to experience high rates of violence and discrimination. RNAO will observe a moment of silence to remember and honour missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. We call for the urgent and full implementation of the 231 Calls for Justice of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls to promote freedom from violence and exploitation, and lay a foundation for healing, justice and reconciliation.
