May Day, International Workers’ Day Celebration

May 1 – also known as May Day – marks International Workers’ Day across much of the world, while Canada and the United States honour workers’ rights through Labour Day every September. We take the opportunity today to honour the dedication, knowledge, compassion and strength of nurses everywhere. Across every community and every shift, nurses continue to show up with expertise, courage and heart – often in the most challenging moments. Nurses’ work heals people, strengthening entire health systems and uplifting societies. Today, we celebrate you – your voice, your leadership and your unwavering commitment to care.
