Charting the path: Turning documentation standards into best practice
More than 900 participants joined a June 2 webinar hosted by RNAO’s Long-Term Care Best Practices Program and the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) to explore documentation practices in the sector.
Using real-world scenarios, participants examined how the revised CNO Documentation Standard applies in practice and how professional judgment, employer policies and evidence-informed care support accurate, meaningful and defensible documentation.
The session also highlighted how RNAO best practice guidelines (BPG) can strengthen assessment, care planning, clinical reasoning and evaluation, helping nurses translate documentation requirements into everyday practice. See a full video recap of the webinar.
