About this Event:
This event is designed to better understand the application of research in day-to-day nursing practice and the various ways nurses – from novice to expert – use research to improve health outcomes.
During “lightning talks”, leaders from RNAO’s guideline development, implementation, evaluation and policy teams will outline the research skills nurses need today. This includes how to effectively use research in clinical practice, quality improvement initiatives and advocating for healthy public policy. After the talks, participants will join a breakout room to learn more about a particular area of research, ask questions and share their own experience.
Objectives:
- explore the multiple applications of research in nursing practice
- identify skills nurses need to effectively use research to achieve positive outcomes
- exchange ideas and share experiences about the use of research for guideline development, implementation, evaluation and advancing healthy public policy
