Nurse practitioners (NP) are key partners in improving health outcomes in Ontario, Canada and globally. Across all sectors and settings, NPs are leaders in collaborating with persons and their families, Ontario Health Teams, and other health partners to support quality and accessible care that is integrated and client-centred.
NPs utilize their advanced scope of practice, knowledge and skills to improve health equity for vulnerable and marginalized populations, advance quality care for all, contribute to research and nursing education, and advocate for healthy policy decisions. With the proper funding and supports, NPs can transform the health system.
RNs, NPs, nursing students, health policy advocates and anyone else interested in understanding the transformational role of NPs are invited to attend a webinar on Monday, Dec. 11 from 2 - 4 p.m. ET to hear from a panel of NPs who will provide concrete examples of their leadership roles.
Registration is required (free of charge). Register now!
All NPs are encouraged to participate in RNAO and NP Interest Group’s #WeAreNPs social media campaign to increase the public’s understanding of the vital role NPs play in Ontario’s health system. Learn more by visiting the NPs and RNAO In Focus webpage.
