About this event
The Nursing Students of Ontario (NSO) invites both nursing students, nurses, and other interprofessional disciplines to join us for a Social Prescribing webinar on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 7 p.m.–8:30 p.m. ET. Social prescribing is a person-centered approach to address the basic, social, and non-clinical needs of the individual rather than clinical needs of those we care for. Based on addressing the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), it empowers and supports the individual to create their own avenue towards holistic well-being.
This webinar will be in collaboration with the Canadian Social Prescribing Student Collective (CSPSC), a national level student-led movement towards expanding social prescribing. They consist of 300+ members across the country, involving 35+ post-secondary institutions, with students from various levels from diploma, and undergraduate to doctorate.
Use this opportunity to hear from our guests speakers Margaret Lin RN, MHLP and Benji Finestone RN, BScN about social prescribing regardless of where you are in education and/or practice! We'll have exemplars, breakout rooms, and the chance to chat with one another on how we can incorporate it into our own education and practice to improve our communities.
