The Role of The Faith Community Nurse in Housing and Food Security - VIRTUAL

Please join us online on Saturday January 17th from 9:30 AM-12:30 PM for our annual general meeting.

This year we have our guest speaker and talented scholar Cathy Newman RN, BScN, SSW who we welcomed as FCNIG’s new Communications ENO for the next term. Cathy’s 45 years of faith guided service to vulnerable populations of Toronto, began as a street youth worker in shelters and outreach programs sponsored by Anglican, and Catholic faith communities. After becoming an RN, Cathy spent 31 years providing nursing care as well as program development, in various settings that included supportive housing initiatives, often backed by Faith Communities. Her formal Faith Community Nursing preparation was obtained through Dayton University, during her time as a Parish Nurse at a large central Toronto congregation.

More details can be found on the registration page.
