Arpita Roy is a dedicated bachelor of science in nursing student at Georgian College, embarking on her third year of study. With a passion for advocacy and excellence, she has actively contributed to her nursing program as a peer mentor and resource. Her leadership skills and involvement in RNAO highlight her commitment to advancing nursing practice. Arpita has demonstrated a strong commitment to nursing advocacy and leadership, serving as the policy and political action officer for the Nursing Students of Ontario (NSO), and also as president of the Nursing Students’ Association at Georgian College. Her passion for nursing extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by her active involvement in RNAO’s student placement with the board of directors at Queen's Park Day in 2023. With a focus on policy, advocacy and community engagement, Arpita strives to have a meaningful impact on the nursing profession.
The Student of Distinction award honours a current undergraduate nursing student who has made significant contributions acting as a change agent, resource and mentor within their undergraduate nursing program. This student also shows active involvement in RNAO regions/chapters/interest groups.
