You’re already doing it: BPSO from the bedside to the boardroom

November 12, 2015

The Scarborough Hospital (TSH) is leveraging Best Practice Spotlight Organization candidacy to support achieving targets on key corporate strategic priorities. In this presentation, participants will learn the process TSH used to ensure BPG work is embedded in everything we do and not an add-on to the care we provide. The use of existing reporting structures, strategies to provide meaningful feedback on metrics at the level of the clinical interface, and clearly defined reporting accountabilities will be explained. The process to develop and implement tools such as a BPSO scorecard and BPG team accountability reports will be described. How these tools and strategies support a robust sustainability plan will be explained.

During this presentation, participants will learn:

  • Design a measurement plan that tracks BPG implementation and supports achieving organizational goals
  • Creatively embed BPSO at all levels throughout an organization
  • Develop processes and structures that support data collection and meaningful feedback
