Using Simulation to Support the Sustainability of Best Practice Guideline Implementation in Long-Term Care
September 24, 2019
Simulation is an immersive style of teaching that replicates real life in a guided and interactive way (Gaba, 2004). This webinar will detail how the Perley Rideau team used simulation-based training methods at the point-of-care to sustain practice changes implemented from the Preventing Falls and Reducing Injury from Falls guideline.
During this webinar, participants will learn how to:
- identify strategies and resources for designing a successful in situ simulation that promotes best practice guideline implementation and sustainability in the workplace
- describe the benefits and overcome the obstacles of using simulation at the point-of-care in a long-term care setting
