Performance Management Framework: A Method to Drive Organizational Excellence
The Ontario Public Health Standards on effective public health practice requires that all public health units ensure a culture of quality and continous organizational improvement.
Toronto Public Health, a designated Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO®), used a performance management framework to identify areas for improvement and implement concrete strategies to achieve established outcomes.
This presentation will illustrate how other organizations can adapt the performance management framework and other quality improvement tools to drive excellence, build a culture of quality and ultimately make a difference in the health of the population we serve.
During this presentation, participants will:
- learn the components of the TPH performance management framework
- understand how to use quality improvement plans and other tools to drive organizational excellence
- learn how to apply a performance management framework using a BPSO® case study as an example on how to integrate continuous improvement into practice
