Implementing the Person and Family-Centred Care Best Practice Guideline During a Pandemic

This champions information sharing webinar is designed for health-care providers and students. Participants will learn about how a long-term care home implemented the person and family-centred care best practice guideline (BPG) during a pandemic.

This webinar focuses on the processes and strategies used to implement the BPG in a long-term care home. It will also provide participants with sample tools and creative strategies to support the implementation of best practices.

During this presentation, participants will learn how to: 

  • use a gap analysis to improve communication amongst staff 
  • identify challenges with implementing person and family-centred care best practices
  • implement creative strategies to change a facility’s workplace culture by building and improving relationships with residents and families 
  • continually monitor, evaluate and sustain best practices
