How to Read, Use and Interpret a Best Practice Guideline

RNAO's best practice guidelines (BPG) are systematically developed, evidence-based resources that include recommendations for nurses and members of the interdisciplinary health teams on how to improve outcomes for people and their support networks. BPGs are developed using internationally-recognized methods for guideline development.  

This webinar will provide participants with the tools and skills to read, interpret and use RNAO’s BPGs. 

During this webinar, participants will learn about: 

  • the structure and components of a BPG 
  • how to interpret recommendations and good practice statements
  • information available in each BPG to support implementation of the recommendations 
  • information that Best Practice Spotlight Organization® (BPSO®) leads and front-line health providers can prioritize while reading a BPG
