Caring for refugees at the Ukrainian-Polish border: The Canadian Medical Assistance Teams’ mission

This month we will host the executive director of Canadian Medical Assistance Teams (CMAT) and RNAO member and NP Valerie Rzepka.

In early March, RNAO partnered with CMAT to call for RNs and NPs to volunteer to provide care for refugees arriving in Poland from Ukraine. Valerie will be back from the mission and will be sharing about the experience and the work that nurses and other health-care providers are doing with refugees at the Ukrainian-Polish borders.

RNAO CEO Dr. Doris Grinspun will update on recent developments and the association’s involvement in several policy areas.
