To commemorate the day, RNAO shared a video showcasing how its Black Nurses Task Force’s (BNTF) is breaking the bias. BNTF’s recently launched report, Acknowledging, Addressing and Tackling Anti-Black Racism and Discrimination Within the Nursing Profession, addresses structural racism targeted towards and experienced by Black nurses. In addition, RNAO shared a special IWD edition of Small Talk in which RNAO member and region 7 representative So-Yan Seto shares the struggles and challenges women in nursing from her community experience every day. She also discusses how RNAO has helped to advance equality in society.
