Season’s greetings from RNAO
We gather with friends and family during this holiday season knowing that we live in uncertain times. Let’s seek warmth and solace for everyone by extending our solidarity to those in need and finding strength and support in one another.
No matter which holidays you observe, we wish you a peaceful season. During this time, let’s focus on what unifies us all as part of humanity. Let’s consider how we can build a common future that is just, equitable and sustainable for all.
We reflect on the year that is ending and the work we have done together to advance nursing and health. Let us express our immense gratitude for your unwavering commitment, expertise, tenacity and passion! Together, RNs, NPs and nursing students form an awesome team. We improve the lives of persons and the health outcomes in communities across Ontario. We improve the organizations and health systems we work within. And, we make an enormous difference to one another as colleagues in our workplaces.
Although it’s been a tough few years, RN, NP and nursing student members can take pride and ownership in so much of our collective success. Everywhere you work, your knowledge, skills and compassion are a gift during the holidays and all year long. It is truly a privilege and pleasure to join our more than 54,400 dedicated members in speaking out for nursing and for health.
As we anticipate the year ahead, we must always remember that the best holiday gifts are those we sometimes take for granted: family, friends and our health. For those who are lonely or struggling, please know that there is a community of nurses extending love and support. For those who can count their blessings, may the richness of gratitude be yours this season and beyond.
On behalf of RNAO’s board of directors and home office staff, we send all nurses and care providers across the province our deepest thanks and warmest wishes for a delightful holiday season and a healthy new year.
