RNAO Nursing Week spotlight: Community addictions nursing-who are we, what do we do, and how do we do it?

About this event:

This one-hour virtual event is hosted by the community addictions case manager nurses at ADAPT, a non-profit agency funded by the Ministry of Health.

It will be a very relaxed presentation where our nursing team will provide an overview of our role, offer some insight on our experiences in the role, and provide a Q&A session for people.

The goal of this session is to inform other nurses who might be curious on considering a case management role, advocate for why it's a necessary and wonderful option, and for those who just want to better understand this role and the population we serve.
