Applications are now open for the Fall, 2023 session of this dynamic eight-module virtual program offered at no cost on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, starting September 13, 2023.

About this event:

Due to popular demand, the virtual Leadership and Management for Nurses Program is back and open to nurses in managerial roles - registered nurses, registered practical nurses and nurse practitioners across all sectors. The program aims to enhance key knowledge and applied skills necessary to successfully support their teams in goal achievement, shared decision making and effective team functioning within a healthy work environment.

Program features include:

  • plenary sessions with core leadership content presented by experts in the field

  • sector specific sessions for application of leadership content facilitated by leaders from the sector utilizing stories, case studies and discussion

  • small group discussion and application of content using a case study approach

  • opportunity to work with a mentor for guidance and support

Program modules are as follows:

  1. The importance of blending leadership and management knowledge and skills as a leader manager
  2. Transitioning to and across leader/manager roles
  3. Building relationships and trust, and creating a powering work environment
  4. Cultivating knowledge development and integration
  5. Leading, shaping, and navigating change
  6. Balancing complexities and managing competing values and priorities
