Request-for-Proposals
RNAO releases an annual request-for-proposals (RFP) for eligible long-term care (LTC) homes in Ontario, to collaborate with RNAO on implementing and evaluating multiple clinical nursing best practice guidelines (BPG) and sharing knowledge gained through their experiences and outcomes. This initiative is carried out in conjunction with the Long-Term Care Best Practices Program, supported by funding from the Government of Ontario.
The most recent RFP cycle has now closed. However, organizations interested in participating in a future call for proposals are encouraged to submit their information to express interest.

On Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025 at 1 p.m. ET. a proposal information session webinar was provided to describe the BPSO designation program, the process for becoming a BPSO and an opportunity to hear from current BPSOs about the impact of guideline implementation on resident, staff and organizational outcomes.
Taking the Next Step: Leveraging RNAO Clinical Pathways to become a BPSO
On Aug. 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., another proposal information webinar was provided with a focus of Ontario LTC homes involved in the RNAO Clinical Pathways Program having an opportunity to join an international community dedicated to making a positive impact on resident care through evidence-based practice. The objectives of this session included learning about the BPSO program and how to leverage the RNAO Clinical Pathways to become a BPSO and hearing from a current BPSO LTC organizations that have used RNAO Clinical Pathways to meet their deliverables and have seen the positive impact on residents, staff and organizational outcomes.
