The primary responsibility of the Scientific Writer/Editor is to write, review, and edit academic articles developed by the iaBPG Centre within the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) for submission to peer reviewed journals. The primary function of the Indicator Developer - Health Outcomes Research role is to provide evaluation and research support to the Nursing Quality Indicators for Research and Evaluation® (NQuIRE®) data system. Working with the Lead Scientist and Senior Manager, Evaluation & Monitoring, the role includes participating in the selection and development of quality indicators and data dictionaries based on RNAO’s nursing best practice guidelines (BPGs).

The Guideline Development Methodologist (GDM) is a Master’s prepared registered nurse responsible for leading the planning, research and execution of best practice guidelines (BPG). The GDM will support the work of an interprofessional expert panel by: conducting systematic reviews of the literature; developing evidence-based recommendation statements; writing the guideline, reports and manuscripts for peer-review; and prepare and present research for scientific meetings. The GDM works collaboratively with RNAOs Implementation Science and Evaluation/Monitoring Teams to support implementation, evaluation and sustainability of evidence-based practice cultures.
