This event included an in-person champions training session facilitated by RNAO, and a celebration event that allowed staff to spotlight their work with BPGs. It was attended by more than 100 individuals, including staff and management, external and academic partners, and the local RNAO chapter.

Jessica holds a Master of Nursing – Leadership in Professional Nursing Practice from Western University, where she also serves as an adjunct clinical professor. She is a passionate advocate for implementing best practices, with the goal of improving outcomes for patients and the broader community.

The Leadership Award in BPG Implementation is awarded to the RN, NP or Ontario-based health-care organization that promotes excellence in nursing practice and nursing work-life balance. The recipient of this award works to enhance the image of nursing through the committed use and advancement of RNAO’s best practice guidelines (BPG) in the workplace.
