Amy Davignon

Amy Davignon is a nursing leader with more than 25 years of experience advancing nursing education, mentorship and evidence-informed practice across hospital, community and long-term care settings. Over her career, in her advanced practice nursing roles, Amy has led and advanced nursing education initiatives, mentored nurses and RNAO advanced clinical practice fellows, and worked closely with clinical teams to embed BPGs into decision making and care delivery. As an advanced practice nurse at Toronto’s St. John’s Rehab Program, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, she has a strong commitment to mentoring nurses and supporting the translation of evidence into practice. Amy has contributed to nursing education through publications, presentations and sustained mentorship, and holds an adjunct clinical appointment with the University of Toronto. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the professional growth of others, and for this recognition.  

This leadership award recognizes an RN or NP who practises excellence as a nurse educator in a health-care setting. This individual enhances the role of nursing by encouraging critical thinking, innovation and debate about important nursing issues, and acts as a role model and mentor in their work environment.
