RNAO attends International Council of Nurses Congress and hosts BPSO Special Session

From June 9-13, representatives from RNAO and Best Practice Spotlight Organizations® (BPSO®) in several countries attended the 30th International Council of Nurses (ICN) Congress in Helsinki, Finland alongside 7,000 nursing colleagues from around the world.

RNAO welcomed hundreds of nurses to its booth, where representatives provided information on our world-renowned Best Practice Guidelines (BPG) and BPSO Programs. Aligning with this year’s congress theme – Nursing power to change the world – RNAO’s two symposiums during the congress focused on advancing nursing practice with artificial intelligence and strengthening evidence-based practice with a person, family and community-centred approach. RNAO also shared 11 e-poster presentations focused on topics such as empowering nursing leadership, elevating health-care excellence, advancing nursing practice and educating the nurse of tomorrow.

On June 14, RNAO hosted an all-day BPSO Special Session for current and prospective BPSOs. Led by RNAO CEO Dr. Doris Grinspun, the agenda featured presentations and table discussions on RNAO’s BPSO program, BPG implementation in academia, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in a global context, and more.
