Pride month is coming up in June, and RNAO looks forward to celebrating with its members. 

Last year, RNAO released its Promoting 2SLGBTQI+ health equity best practice guideline, as well as its position statement on respecting sexually and gender diverse communities in collaboration with Rainbow Nursing Interest Group. As stated in its position statement, RNAO “…recognizes the inherent dignity and worth of every person and endeavors to provide for equal rights and opportunities without discrimination. RNAO believes that sexually and gender diverse communities should be respected.

There will be many events taking place across Ontario throughout Pride month, including Toronto’s annual Festival Weekend (June 24 – 26, 2022), Kenora Pride, Ottawa Capital Pride and more. For a full list of events, visit destinationontario.com.
