In collaboration with its Nurse Practitioner Interest Group (NPIG), RNAO hosted its annual NP Institute virtually on April 21. The all-day event focused on the theme “Powering NP Vision for Tomorrow: Igniting your practice” and featured many dynamic sessions with expert speakers to engage and inspire NPs from across Ontario and Canada. 

The more than 250 participants gathered virtually to be inspired, informed, ignited and connected. Event highlights included:

• practical tools for influencing change related to the NP role
• re-igniting after burnout using self-compassion
• case-based sessions featuring NPs in unique practice role
• NP-led research and quality improvement initiatives

Speakers and participants showcased the critical role NPs play across all sectors addressing those most impacted by social determinants of health and the value add of NPs making strong contributions to all quadrants of the quadruple aim — client satisfaction, provider satisfaction, better health outcomes and cost effectiveness.

Participants left the event energized by gaining and sharing new knowledge, forging new networks, and reigniting their passion for clinical excellence.
