RNAO is accepting applications for the Leadership and Management for Nurses Program. 

The program is open to all RPNs, RNs and NPs who:

• are a nurse manager or nurse leader in long-term care or an Ontario hospital (acute or community hospital, complex continuing care or rehabilitation) 
• complete the application form, including the “leadership and management intentions and learning goals” section
• provide a letter of support from direct supervisor recommending candidate for the program and agreeing to provide two full days of release time once a month for four months from course commencement in September 2022 to its conclusion in December 2022 and agree to provide necessary support related to implementation of a work-related project and enable success as a nurse leader-manager

The virtual Leadership and Management for Nurses Program is designed for nurse managerial leaders to enhance key knowledge and skills necessary for their success in enabling goal achievement, supporting shared decision-making, and creating healthy work environments and team functioning.

The eight-module program is free and offered virtually over four monthly sessions from September to December 2022. The sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET as follows:

• Modules 1 and 2: Sept. 14
• Modules 3 and 4: Oct. 12
• Modules 5 and 6: Nov. 9
• Modules 7 and 8: Dec. 14

The deadline to apply is July 11 by 4 p.m. ET. 

Applications must be submitted online with a letter of support. Please note, RNAO membership is not mandatory to apply. Applicants will be notified regarding their application status by email on Aug. 4, 2022.
