Final call for Palliative Care Facilitated Access (PCFA) program applications

Reminder for NPs: if you were approved for initial entry in the Palliative Care Facilitated Access (PCFA) program in any month of 2021, you will still need to renew in February 2022.

The PCFA program allows eligible NPs to independently prescribe high-strength, long-acting opioids for those receiving palliative care services. RNAO will process applications to the program on behalf of its members and non-members.

Renewal application reminder
Please submit your renewal application to RNAO by Feb. 25, 2022 to allow time for processing. You can view the eligibility criteria for renewal and submit your renewal at MyRNAO.ca/PCFA-renewal.

Initial Application
NPs applying for the first time can view the initial eligibility requirements and register as PCFA prescribers at any time during the year through the RNAO at MyRNAO.ca/PCFA. Please note you will also be required to renew in February.

For more information about the NP PCFA prescriber list, please complete this form. If you have specific questions or concerns, please contact policy analyst Brenda Stade at bstade@RNAO.ca.
