The Best Practice Champions Competencies Focus Groups are sessions designed for nurses (i.e., nursing students, RNs, NPs, RPNs and advanced practice leaders) and other health-care providers (e.g., social workers, physiotherapists and PSWs) from all sectors who are champions or wish to become champions. The overall goal of each session is to share your experiences of being a champion in your workplace, perceptions of what you think makes an effective champion, and learning what champions need to lead change. 

During the discussion group, share your thoughts on:

• being a champion in your workplace
• what you think makes an effective champion
• what champions need to effect change
