RNAO’s 99th Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in person on June 20 – 22, 2024 at Toronto’s Hilton hotel. This year’s theme was Nursing: Celebrating successes, solving challenges. Our AGM is an opportunity for RNs, NPs and nursing students to reflect on what we have achieved in the past year and look ahead at the opportunities to strengthen the nursing profession and make it a magnet for the next generation of nurses.

RNAO encourages members, chapters, regions without chapters and interest groups to submit resolutions for review and discussion at RNAO’s AGM. Members who submit resolutions help raise the profile and facilitate discussion of important nursing and health issues.
RNAO members help decide governance issues that inform the association’s direction.
RNAO’s annual Recognition Awards are presented annually to individuals and groups that make significant contributions to RNAO's mandate of speaking out for nursing and speaking out for health. Awards are given out in five categories: leadership, education/mentorship, group, student (undergraduate) and member of the public.
The awards acknowledge contributions made by volunteers and long-time members of the association.
