BPSO Long-Term Care

Request-for-Proposals

RNAO released the request-for-proposals (RFP) for interested and eligible long-term care (LTC) homes located in Ontario, to work in collaboration with the RNAO in implementing and evaluating multiple clinical nursing best practice guidelines (BPG), and disseminating knowledge from their experiences and outcomes with guideline implementation. This initiative is being carried out in conjunction with the Long-Term Care Best Practices Program, supported by funding from the Government of Ontario.

This Request-for-Proposals (RFP) is exclusive to Ontario long-term care settings and aims to select and support a cohort of Best Practice Spotlight Organizations® (BPSO®). Successful applicants will initially enter into a formal three (3) year agreement with RNAO from 2025-2028.

We have BPSO coaches in every region of Ontario who are ready to help you! Contact us!

Watch the information session webinar

A proposal information session was held on August 13, 2024 to provide an overview of the BPSO designation program, the process for becoming an BPSO in long-term care and provide the opportunity to hear from current BPSOs about the impact of guideline implementation on resident, staff and organizational outcomes.

Ontario LTC homes involved in the RNAO Clinical Pathways™ Program also have the opportunity to join BPSO. An information session was held on August 15, 2024 for participants to learn about the BPSO program and how to leverage the RNAO Clinical Pathways to become a BPSO. A current BPSO LTC home that have used Clinical Pathways shared how they have met their deliverables and seen the positive impact on resident, staff and organizational outcomes.

Funding for this initiative has been provided by the Government of Ontario.
