About this event:

This webinar will allow participants to learn and understand how the F.J. Davey Home has adapted the Wound Care Program to optimize Resident care. The long-term care nursing home has achieved consistent wound care assessment strategies, ongoing and adaptive wound care treatment, as well as preventative measures and interventions to not only maintain adequate skin integrity, but also to prevent the formation of pressure injuries. The primary focus is prevention of skin breakdown, along with early identification of signs/symptoms of skin breakdown to facilitate immediate treatments and interventions. The F.J. Davey Home is excited to explore and highlight the successes that have helped to maintain a percentage of pressure ulcer incidence below the provincial and national average for over 16 months consistently.
