Long-Term Care Best Practices Program Community of Practice

Join the RNAO long-term care (LTC) best practices programs’ three-part online community of practice. During these interactive sessions, RNAO LTC best practices program coaches will review the newly released RNAO best practice guideline People-Centred Care (3rd edition, 2025) and Promoting 2SLGBTQI+ Health Equity (2021) and share insights on how to care for residents who identify as Indigenous.

Participants are encouraged to join in the discussions with our coaches and team members from other LTC homes in knowledge sharing, to empower them to provide resident care which truly reflects:

• respect for values and preferences
• shared decision-making
• cultural safety and humility

Speakers will share first-hand insights on bringing people-centred care to life, as well foster dialogues related to Indigenous and 2SLGBTQI+ care inclusion.
