Quinte Health has recently completed its first two-year Best Practice Spotlight Organization® (BPSO®) designation phase, all of which occurred during the pandemic. Despite the challenges from the pandemic, Quinte Health continued to sustain its best practice guideline (BPG) implementation, while maintaining staff interest in BPSO activities. Nonetheless, there have been limited opportunities for champion networking during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To foster champion engagement and networking, Quinte Health organized a champions open house in March 2023. This event provided opportunities to reconnect with champions, increase BPSO visibility, and renew their commitment to BPSO work going forward. The open house also provided an occasion to discuss the alignment of BPSO and accreditation.

During this webinar, participants will learn about:

  1. Quinte Health’s planning and implementation process for the champions open house event
  2. champion engagement and increasing awareness of BPSO
  3. strategies to communicate the alignment between BPSO and required organizational practices for accreditation
