About this event:

This webinar will focus on the “Every Setting, Every Stage: A Complete Guide to Pressure Injury Management” Open House that showcased a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, collaboration, and clinical leadership. This intraprofessional event brought together frontline staff, allied health professionals, community partners, leaders, and government representatives to promote patient-centered care while celebrating professional achievement through a best practice guideline (BPG) champion pinning ceremony.

Participants engaged in hands-on learning experiences designed to directly enhance clinical practice. Interactive activities included a wound-care escape room, expert-led prevention strategies and demonstrations of pressure injury prevention technologies. Additional exhibits emphasized nutrition, mobility, and holistic care, helping staff translate BPGs into actionable bedside skills.

The pinning ceremony, led by the RNAO BPSO Coach and an MPP, formally recognized individuals as leaders in advancing evidence-based care. This recognition reinforced their role as change agents and strengthened organizational commitment to clinical excellence.

A standout feature was the “Hallway of Champions,” displaying over 300 certificates to celebrate collective achievement and foster pride, teamwork, and connection to a culture of excellence.
This open house also supported professional development by enhancing leadership capacity and encouraging mentorship. Overall, it improved patient outcomes, strengthened staff confidence, and expanded regional collaboration, empowering participants to deliver safer, more consistent and evidence-informed care across the healthcare continuum.
