About this event:

This webinar focuses on the long-term care sector and is designed to be meaningful for a wide audience. While it will be especially relevant to nursing and allied health professionals, including personal support workers (PSWs) and interdisciplinary care staff, anyone with an interest in palliative care, resident well-being or compassionate caregiving may find this session particularly valuable.

The central guideline topic is palliative care, with a focus on implementing RNAO's A Palliative Approach to Care in the Last 12 Months of Life best practice guideline (BPG) to enhance and strengthen the palliative care program. The session will highlight the importance of delivering comfort through intentional connection between staff and residents, ensuring rapport-building and emotional presence as core elements of the resident’s journey from admission through end of life.

In this webinar we'll discuss:

  • nursing practice
  • interdisciplinary collaboration
  • the essential role of caregivers in supporting residents who are palliative

By attending this webinar health professionals supporting long-term care teams and community members across Ontario interested in palliative care, can learn about resident well-being and compassionate caregiving.
