Define early interventions for pressure ulcer prevention, and to manage Stage I pressure ulcers.

The guideline contains recommendations for best nursing practices in the assessment and management of pain for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs).

The purpose of this guideline is to identify nursing care related to assessment, management of tissue load, ulcer care, and the management of bacterial colonization and infection of pressure ulcers.
