About this Guideline:

The RNAO Best Practice Guideline Nursing Management of Hypertension (2005, 2009) was retired in October 2020. Comprehensive and up-to-date evidence-based guidelines for the management of hypertension are available. RNAO encourages users of this guideline to review the Hypertension Canada guidelines: https://guidelines.hypertension.ca. RNAO’s guideline development team completed an AGREE II appraisal on the Hypertension Canada guideline and concluded it is a moderate to high quality guideline. It is comprehensive and undergoes review every two years.
