Independent Practice Nurses Interest Group (IPNIG) is a provincial interest group of registered nurses within Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO). We provide a voice for political action, resources, education and research that supports nurses in independent practice.
We strive to provide mechanisms for the exchange of knowledge, business practice skills, networking and sharing with others the diversity of registered nurses established in independent practice. We promote the highest quality professional nursing standards and skills resulting in the highest quality outcome.

Mission Statement
IPNIG will promote awareness and access to independent practice nursing services through professional recognition, political and social action, and public awareness.

Guiding Principles
IPNIG will contribute their efforts to nursing theory development, research, quality professional standards, evidence based clinical practices, continuous education, and enhancement of public knowledge and political support actions to ensure a health care delivery system that meets the population needs.
