Sixth-Annual NP Knowledge Exchange Symposium a success

Marking the sixth-annual Nurse Practitioner Knowledge Exchange Symposium, more than 30 NPs came together on Nov. 26 to discuss the Ontario health system transformation and the growth of the NP role.

Hearing from Phil Graham, Ministry of Health Executive Lead for Ontario Health Teams, participants learned about current challenges and opportunities to advance the health of Ontarians and of our health system and discussed the importance of NPs as leaders and clinicians within Ontario Health Teams.

Additional notable sessions included a panel discussion on practice perspectives from new NPs and more experienced NPs. Participants also heard from Nursing Policy Analyst Andrea LeBlanc-Millar with an update on the work of RNAO’s NP Task Force.

The symposium was co-chaired by RNAO CEO Doris Grinspun and the new NPIG Chair Sally Baerg.
