Nursing Now Ontario Awards: celebrating the great work of nurses

RNAO, WeRPN and ONA are joining together to celebrate the work of nurses as part of the Nursing Now Campaign.

The Nursing Now Ontario Awards builds on the goals of the Nursing Now campaign, a global initiative led by the World Health Organization and the International Council of Nurses, aimed at improving health around the world, through nursing.

The campaign calls on governments, health professionals and service users to champion nurses role in clinical practice, policy and political leadership.

To align with those goals, and to champion nursing leadership, the Nursing Now Ontario Awards will recognize a registered nurse (RN), a registered practical nurse (RPN) and a nurse practitioner (NP) for their contributions to nursing practice, health policy, and the health and well-being of Ontarians.

The work nurses do every day to improve people’s health deserves to be recognized. The awards will be presented on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at RNAO’s annual Health Professional Expo.
