Nominations open for 13th Lois Fairley Nursing Award

Nominations are now open for the 13th annual Lois Fairley Nursing Award. 

The award, given out by RNAO’s Windsor-Essex Chapter, recognizes a nurse who has demonstrated commitment to serving the community. 

It’s named after Lois Fairley, who graduated from Grace Hospital, now known as Birchmount Hospital, in 1955. She worked at Grace Hospital as a nurse until her retirement in 1993. She died in 2007. 

Nominations for the award should include a letter of 500 words or less about how you or a colleague you are nominating made a difference in the life of a patient, family, workplace or community.
