Medical Emergency Treatment for Exposures to Radiation training course on March 5-6

The Health System Emergency Management Branch of Health Canada’s Radiation Protection Bureau and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories are organizing a Medical Emergency Treatment for Exposures to Radiation (METER) training course on March 5-6 in Coburg, Ont.

The two-day training course is designed to enhance preparedness of the medical community in responding to a radiological or nuclear event. The first day will provide a comprehensive review of radiation effects and radiological emergency response. The second day will focus on radiation detection, use of PPE and casualty assessment, decontamination and treatment.
