Ontario journalists can now submit stories for RNAO’s Media Awards

TORONTO, Dec. 19, 2018 ¬ In a era in which the media is too often criticized and even threatened for seeking truth, the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario's (RNAO) will highlight the best coverage of nursing and health care in our province by honouring journalists through its annual Media Awards.

Journalists are invited to submit entries published or broadcast in Ontario in 2018 that will be judged by a committee of journalists and nurses at RNAO, an association that shapes health policy in Ontario and around the world.

Previous winners include journalists from major media outlets such as CTV News, the Ottawa Citizen, and CBC Radio as well as smaller news outlets such as Watershed magazine and the Etobicoke Guardian for coverage that ranged from cuts to nursing staff to post-traumatic stress disorder among first responders.
