Become a stakeholder reviewer for a BPG

The RNAO best practice guideline development team is looking for stakeholder reviewers for three best practice guidelines that are currently in development:

  • Providing Care for 2SLGBTQI+ Communities (working title):The purpose of this guideline is to provide evidence-based recommendations for nurses and the interprofessional team related to foundational inclusive and affirming care practices, access, health promotion and health care for individuals within 2SLGBTQI+ communities. These recommendations are applicable across many settings and the continuum of care, and include safe spaces and 2SLGBTQI+ health education for health students and providers. The deadline has now passed. 
     
  • Promoting Commercial Tobacco Free Health and Wellness in Indigenous Parents, Families & Communities (working title). The purpose of this guideline is to provide nurses and the interprofessional team with evidence-based recommendations on culturally safe and meaningful ways to support commercial tobacco interventions with Indigenous parents, families and communities to improve family and community health and wellness. These recommendations also include cultural safety and Indigenous health education for health students and providers. The deadline has now passed. 
     
  • Vascular Access, second edition (working title): The purpose of this best practice guideline is to provide nurses and the interprofessional team with evidence-based recommendations and resources related to the insertion, assessment, and maintenance of vascular access devices in the infant, pediatric, and adult population. These recommendations are applicable across many settings and include education, specialist care, PIV care, use of ultrasound, blood draws and pain management. Deadline to apply online is Nov. 9, 2020.
