RNAO's Official Statement on Novel Coronavirus
RNAO is strongly engaged with Ontario’s Ministry of Health about developments related to the Novel Coronavirus (2019-n-CoV). We are participating in daily ministry calls, as well as other meetings. We have been sending daily updates to members to keep you fully informed, to hear any concerns you may have and bring back answers to your questions. We have also been sending the same updates to BPSO Leads.

NPs with expertise in palliative care take note. You can apply for the Palliative Care Facilitated Access (PCFA) program. The program allows eligible NPs to independently prescribe high-strength, long-acting opioids to those receiving palliative care.

RNAO retires Subcutaneous Administration of Insulin in Adults with Type 2 Diabetes
RNAO’s Best Practice Guidelines Program is focused on ensuring our guidelines provide nurses with the latest info they need in their practice. After an analysis by RNAO’s guideline development team, we are deciding to retire the BPG Subcutaneous Administration of Insulin in Adults with Type 2 Diabetes (2004, 2009).

Coming all the way from Israel, senior staff from Sheba Academic Medical Center Hospital visited RNAO’s home office in Toronto to learn more about RNAO’s Best Practice Guidelines Program and Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) Program.
